Fix the problem of battery drain due to "Mobile radio active"
This problem is draining approx. 40-50% of the battery of my OnePlus One with Cyanogen 12.0/12.1. By far, Boxer is the service with the largest battery consumption.
This is an Android Lollipop bug, not much we can do about it.
I also have the same problem. I'm running a OPO on stock COS 5.1.1. (i'm running beta boxer)
Hope this helps:
e-mail (23%) is using more battery than my screen (14% 3h45m SOT).
Wakelockdetecter has the next cpu wakelock (no screenshot because of privacy)

The battery draining is problem constantly synchronize the boxer app and not lollipop.
As David wrote, other mail clients don't have the problem.
It's true that this is an Android Lollipop bug, but other mail apps do not suffer from this problem (e.g. gmail app), or at least the problem does not turn into a so huge battery drain. Maybe something could be done from Boxer to minimize the problem.
