Make email refresh faster & more reliable.
email refresh is way too slow and fails often.

For everyone that is having trouble with syncing, please come and try our Beta version, which has a lot more fixes than the current public or Cyanogen version.
If you are interested to try, please visit our G+ Beta community: https://plus.google.com/communities/102581534035171613663

Is this *still* beta? I've got something that might be this problem (often fails completely to sync folders I go to and manually refresh) on Cyanogen (a one-plus 1). Should I try this, or look for other possible problems, or report mine as new?

I am still having this problem. Messages that have been marked as read on gmail or through another email app aren't refreshing.
Additionally, emails (regardless of folder) aren't syncing even after a 3 hour delay of "waiting"

Would be much better to fix public version and not only beta!

Same issue here. Slow to receive new email. I can be on my desktop and receive email, refreshing email on the phone at the same time doesn't show the new emails for quite some time.

I have a similar issue. Sometimes it takes a long time before emails arrive in the inbox. The app (2.0.0) is set at push on my Oneplusone.

I have 3 gmail accounts configured on Boxer (imap/push notification) and only one of them is receiving push notification (most of the time), the first one configured. I must refresh the other accounts. Annoying issue.
OnePlus one with Cyanogen 12 (OTA) on top. -

Will not sync at all other folders except inbox. Not even a question about waiting or retrying. 2 hours still wont show the new emails from another folder.

When a sync is forced, keep the sync going on even when the app is in the background and just give a toast on the screen as it completes. This should stop the need for trying to force sync several times.

I also found that it was able to push changes to the server almost instantly. (e.g. Email moved to a folder / marked read) but, to pull similar changes down from the server it took much longer periods (40-50 seconds)

But I'll have to buy exchange support for my Outlook.com account right? Student here! :D
I was talking about in comparison to the official Outlook app & the Gmail app (I've set up all 3 to compare), refresh in boxer felt a little slower.
You can consider giving a toast on screen that sync is complete, that way sync will be more reliable. or/and rather than having a moving refresh bar implement a progress bar so it's easier to know if the sync happened and how long is it gonna take. :)

Just got beta. Issue still exists on beta. It takes at least 2-3 refreshes to refresh. Checked for both Outlook.com & Gmail.
Also, still no push notifications for Outlook.com! ;) -

I'm on version 1.4.10 and using the app for Outlook.com & Gmail (both on IMAP).
My device is a Moto G 2nd Gen running on stock android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Update is set to every day, also push notifications are not available on Outlook.com, only on Gmail.
Just to clarify I raised the thread for pull down to refresh.. -

Refresh takes a long time to sync email. Sometimes doesn't even work until done 2-3 times. I am using outlook.com and I have a Moto G 2nd Gen running on stock android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
