More granularity for e-mail retention interval
Presently, one can choose between All or 1 month for the longest intervals for retaining e-mails. Competing products allow a more granular choice, along with being able to enter a preferred range (e.g., 180 days).
1 month is too short; all is too long. This is an easy fix and makes the user experience considerably more friendly with respect to showing the right amount of mails, and not guzzling huge amounts of battery life to bring in all e-mails, when only a couple of months worth is needed.
I have this problem as well. Using 2 gmail accounts. However, I can't see the option to choose between all or 1 month. this app has now downloaded all my mail, which is huge. Also, can I choose somewhere not to download all my mail over mobile data? It's been doing so in the last month and I'm always over my limit...
Yes correct... This results in a really hot smartphone and where I need to connect the phone to charger, because of this 'battery draining' activity
My inbox has 14000 items and I'm the first to acknowledge that I don't need all my items.
I could decide to move items to another folder, but "hey that's where the beta is for I guess" To discover potential improvements :)
I also have another suggestion, but will post it in a new comment (it relates to default sync behavior for all folders)
It's up to the developers to decide what to do with this.
And yes more options on sync window will likely resolve my problem as well
