The idea is mainly connected to attachment handling. At the moment I am unable to save images in an email (hotmail). I only get the choice to view image. A "save as.." alternative or some other form of attachment manager would help this. Would it also be possible to have a folder/box with all mail with attachments? I saw this mentioned in an iOs thread.12 votes
Unlike IMAP, Exchange does not have free free configurable special folders. Marking a mail as spam from Boxer moves the mail to the folder "Junk" and creates this folder if not existing. Unfortunately, this is not the native spam folder of Exchange, which is named "Junk-E-Mail" for my account.24 votes
This problem is draining approx. 40-50% of the battery of my OnePlus One with Cyanogen 12.0/12.1. By far, Boxer is the service with the largest battery consumption.11 votes
This is an Android Lollipop bug, not much we can do about it.
Boxer automatically hyperlinks phone numbers so that they can be tapped.
Boxer behaves very strangely with Australian phone numbers: rather than hyperlinking the entire number, it excludes some digits.
Example: in 1800123456 only 8001234 is hyperlinked.
Example: in 98765432 only 8765432 is hyperlinked.
Example: in 0398765432 only 8765432 is hyperlinked.
Example: in +61398765432 only 6139876 is hyperlinked.
Example: in 0412345678 no part is hyperlinked.8 votes
We are trying to make this work better.
I'm using Boxer 2.6.1 (237) with IMAP server.
- Start in portrait mode
- Enter recipient
- Enter subject
- Enter some text
- Rotate device
-> App crash
Note: the app does not crash if there is no data populated.1 vote
Thanks for the report Miha, we will try to fix it asap.
I received an email on which I was CC'd. When I hit reply all, I noticed that my email was still in the CC recipients line. After I hit send, I received what looked like duplicate emails. One email was from my sent box, and the other email was the email I CC'd myself. Tested in beta on Samsung Galaxy S3.8 votes
Thanks for your feedback.
I’ve added this to our internal bug tracker.
It would be nice if you also come and join us in the Beta Community and make posts there, it’s easier than here :)
On combined inbox widget, indicate which email is from which account either by a color or by a symbol. I use multiple accounts (Gmail, Exchange, etc) and it does not indicate which email is from which account.18 votes
I created a custom folder in the combined view and added a shortcut to this folder on the home screen. All working fine at the beginning , selecting the shortcut opens the created folder in the combined view, great. Unfortunately after reboot the shortcut destination is changed to the combined view inbox. The custom folder still exists only the shortcut function changes after every reboot.
