Need POP3
Please provide pop3 support for receive and send. I don't care about moving to folders or archiving. I simple need to see if I received an email. In fact, I don't want Boxer to manipulate anything on the pop3 server because I use my main PC for POP3 email management. If Boxer wants to replace the default iOS email client then it should at least match everything it does.

Thanks for your suggestion! We’ll go ahead and gather feedback on this. We haven’t ruled it out, but we’ll need to see what the demand looks like for it. Thanks again!

I just bought Boxer Pro and it doesn't support Pop?!
Pop is what my company uses to receive e-mails so now I have bought an app to receive my iCloud e-mails only!??
How can you call Boxer the most advanced e-mail app without POP support? I know its old but many systems still use it so please consider it.
Hope you can add it in the future.

I would really like to only have Boxer as my email client. Please support POP/POP3 so i can delete the default. Thank you!

Ok maybe POP is a little dated , but can have definite advantages for mobile devices where cell signal strength will likely vary from one area to the next. Maybe don't impose it globally, but leave the default as IMAP and provide a pop/ IMAP toggle in Settings.

IMAP works for me but it's really slow, not sure exactly why. POP while might be outdated "just works!"

I understand that some people see POP3 as out of date but unfortunately I still have several accounts which ate POP3 and aren't going to be upgraded as much as I would like them too.
I see Boxer as a total replacement for the native iOS mail app so it's not unreasonable to ask for POP3. After all it would be fairly simple to implement.
I too app agree that I don't need to archive or use advanced functions on a pop3 account, I just want to be able to read mail from multiple ActiveSync, Outlook.com iCloud, GMail and POP3 accounts all from the one app please.
Thanks in advance. -

Maybe there is no reason to choose POP3 over IMAP but if your mail server does not support IMAP and only support POP3, what can I do? So, I need simple level POP3 support for receive and send like default iOS mail client do. That way I can use my multiple accounts including business mail with Boxer.

Some users claim POP3 is not needed, as it is obsolete. Flawed statement! I am not fan of POP3 and avoid using it if I can, but I could give you a list of services still using it. It still is very much a requirement and to be fair, it wouldn't too much effort to incorporate it into the app. (Video playing websites still use Flash despite HTML5 being far superior...)

POP3 is obsolete. There's no reason to choose it over IMAP, and many reasons not to. So, since your resources aren't infinite, I wouldn't want to see them going into POP3 support.

To be honest I don't think many people would use that. I switched to IMAP a very long time ago and I can't really imagine a way to use POP3 on both PC and Smartphone in a comfortable way.
