Sub tasks option under To Do's
Ability to create sub-tasks (check list) under the To-Dos.
MasterTask
: task numOne - pick up docs [X]
: task numTwo - sign docs
: task numThree - deliver via USPSThis would allow a fully integrated check and sub task list, which would be extremely useful to most.
Very well done app!! Kudos!!
Thanks,
Abe10 votesThanks for the suggestion! We don’t have any immediate plans to create subtasks for the ToDos, and the amount of requests we receive for this is not quite enough to apply our limited resources towards it. We may be able to revisit this again in the future!

Mail to keep offline - selectable timeframe
It would be good to select a timeframe for e-mails to keep on your device. For example, I'm over 1GB used space for the iOS app because all my mail is kept offline. If I could choose to keep offline only e-mails from the last X months (and the older ones could be deleted from my device, but still searchable when online) it would be perfect.
Basically the same as you can do with Outlook, select to keep offline mail from 1/3/6/12/24 months or all e-mails.
20 votesWe have now implemented the ability to clear the cache (option is in settings), which will remove old emails and other items from memory that are no longer needed.

square avatars instead of round or give a choice
My logic is that people mostly make square avatars and rounding them is misrepresenting of their avatars. As example I attach screenshot where the icon of boxer is rounded and by that the corners of the envelope are lost. Also rounding is space losing what makes some avatars look bad

Complete a todo email
You should be able to move an email from todo to any folder (besides inbox) to "complete" it. We all don't use the "archive" folder the same way. Some completed todo emails belong in a particular folder.
3 votesWe absolutely understand. However, we have experimented with using a “Done” button. From the beginning, the “Done” button existed to remove an item from your inbox without deleting it. However, we have realized (with help from user’s feedback) that “Archive” achieves the same objective and is already a ubiquitous function across email platforms. To help simplify the Boxer experience, the decision was made to combine the “Archive” and “Done” functionalities and free up some space on the action grid.

Please revert to the old blue mail icon
Not loving the new icon. It looks bland and quite similar to Google's Inbox app. Why change it at all? I'm really not happy with this change. Please consider reverting back to the previous icon. Thank you.

Remove "Like" feature.
Remove the "Like" feature.
It's pretty stupid, this isn't facebook. I don't want to send people multiple emails just because I "liked" an email, I'll just star it. There is no way to "unlike" an email because this adds absolutely nothing useful other than more spam.

designwise request
I prefer the former blue, more symbolized icon. furthermore, we iOS users don't have much
choice to organize the home screen, and app icon colors are the last key for the arrangement. so please never change it so easy.4 votes -
To Do shortcuts
I really like Boxer, but the one thing holding me back from replacing Mailbox with it is the amount of taps it takes to set an email in "To Do". In Mailbox I can do this in two taps. Boxer takes 4 to 5 taps. It's annoying for such an important feature. Could you possibly "borrow" some UI ideas from them and provide a more streamlined workflow for this?
1 voteWith customizable swipes, you can set one of your swipes to be “To-do”. This eliminates the need to take 4 to 5 taps.

No pin request for exchange accounts.
I have read a similar request but the reply must be for something different because I am also using Acompli with Exchange accounts and it does not ask me to use a passcode/pin. Looks like a issue with the way your app works.
4 votesI’m afraid this isn’t possible due to our license with Microsoft. Mobile email clients that utilize a true ActiveSync license with Microsoft are not able to bypass the PIN code if it is enforced by the server. Doing so would violate our terms with Microsoft unfortunately.

Sanebox notification
Choose wether or not to receive a notification if a mail has been filtered by sanebox (ie : I don't want to be notified if I receive a spam email that goes directly into the sanebox folder)

When receiving a notification that there is a new email, I'd like the name of the email account to be the Header rather than "Boxer"
When Boxer shows a notification alert in the iPhone notification system, it is labeled as a message from the "Boxer" account rather than one of the names the user assigns to his/her email accounts (like "Work" or "Yahoo"). Therefore one can't tell for example if it is a work email from the notification.
85 votesUnfortunately, this is not a possibility with the current version of iOS. Apple requires this to reflect the name of the application that generated the notification.

No Passcode when unlock code is set
My Exchange Account requires a passcode so Boxer will automatically ask for one when opened. I already have my phone set to use a unlock code to unlock it. Why do I have to use a passcode again? The iPhone mail app recognizes the fact that a unlock code is set on the phone and does not require another passcode to open Exchange mail accounts.
40 votesUnfortunately, there is no way for Boxer to bypass the request from the Exchange server to force a passcode when opening the app. Boxer is a third-party application (the default email app is not considered to be so), and it would violate our terms with Microsoft to force a bypass of the pin code. We’d love to be able to make this an option, but I’m afraid it just isn’t possible. :(

Multiple Badge Icons
Would be nice to have more than the one badge icon telling me how many total unread emails I have. If i have 2 email accounts, sometimes I just want to know when I get a new "business email". So, maybe one number in left upper corner and one number in right upper corner.

We have added in a “back to Boxer” button so that when a link opens up in Chrome, you can easily move back to Boxer.
After much discussion, we have decided to not build a built-in browser for now. We may revisit this again later on.

Improved like function
The like function is a great idea but not fully developed. Maybe include an image like thumbs up and get rid of the link?

Passcode consists only numbers: show only keyboard with numbers
I have to use a passcode because of my companies exchange rules. The Problem is, that this passcode consists only numbers. It would be helpful if there where a special keyboard showen if the passcode consists only numbers. The keyboard buttons would be bigger and easier to hit!
1 voteThank you for your input! We are unable to change this due to Exchange requirements for complex passwords.

Change username
We recently changed the usernames in our Exchange server. I found no way to change the username within the app. It would be nice to be able to change this setting, like in the nativ iOS mailbox preferences.
