How can we improve Boxer for Android?

after sending an email it shortly appears in the sent folder and then suddenly disappears. It could not be find in any folder and was not synced to the IMAP account.

  2. Bug: Outlook address cannot be correctly set up as exchange address

When I tried to set up an @outlook.com address, I recognized that using the Outlook option was not sufficient.
I was unable to use the great features of exchange.

When I tried to set it up with the exchange option I was automatically forwarded to the outlook option, since my address ended with @outlook.com.

This is not the way I would except the functionality.

I was only able to set it up as an exchange address with a little hack. I change the ending to @outlook.de, so the app was unable to establish a connection to a server.
    I was…

  4. Manual configuration of email accounts

What i would like most of all is to see some kind of manual setup button when adding an account. If you hunt around online, you can find exchange activesync settings for hotmail, which allows push emails from hotmail, and which i have been using in EE, but because it's a hotmail account boxer just auto fills all the server settings, and they're different enough to prevent me from changing the settings manually after account creation.

  5. Inline Images Broken

Inline images display as broken image links, just as they would on a web page with a bad IMG tag. For me this is happening on an Exchange account, but obviously people are having this issue across multiple platforms and email account types.

This is core functionality. It's like giving someone only part of their email but leaving out vital information. I use this for my work email, and the app is completely useless without the ability to view images; seriously!

Please fix this as a top priority!!

My phone is a OnePus One running CyanogenMod 12.0 (Lollipop).

  7. Accounts list empty (white screen), no accounts in settings, no body of email, crashes

After adding my 4th email account, I noticed a *large* number of bugs suddenly appear:

    - Adding account hung on autodiscovery
    - Frequently, the sidebar is completely white (empty), showing no accounts, nothing!
    - Emails in a thread will be tappable but only to expand/collapse recipients, no body shown.
    - "Boxer has stopped"
    - Settings shows only General, Support, About, with no accounts listed

Some other weirdness... This is on the Pro+Exchange version. Happy to send logs, try betas, whatever.

  8. Keeps downloading same messages over and over

I am using POP3 and have several email accounts all set to leave the messages on the server so they will be available to my desktop computer.

I downloaded all the mail (354 messages). I then selected them all and deleted them. At the bottom of the window it showed 354 deleted. The Combined inbox was empty. I then pulled down in the area for the list of messages, and it downloaded the same 354 messages again. I am able to reproduce this at will. Using the Refresh command downloads the same messages over and over also.

  9. A sent email should not affect the order of a conversation in your inbox

Currently, when you respond to an email with conversation mode enabled, the conversation then appears at the top of your inbox. I don't think any other email client with conversation sorting handles it this way. A response should not move that email to the top of your inbox. It should remain in chronological order based on the last email you received.

  11. Paying for exchange does not unlocks this feature...

I just unlocked exchange support (by paying the price) but I can't get through to setup the exchange account (it still wants me to pay again)...

  12. Conversation contains email not part of the conversation

I have a conversation that is not grouped correctly. In Boxer, it says there are 11 in the Inbox list view. When I open the conversation, the email that is first displayed is not even from the same conversation.

In Boxer, the conversation is "Re: CAD Manager Client Installer Build Errors". Below is a list of the emails with there subject lines.
    1. Jeff - "RE: Proposed CRT Modifications" (inbox)
    2. Lou - "RE: Proposed CRT Modifications" (inbox)
    3. Jeff - "RE: Proposed CRT Modifications" (inbox)
    4. Ben - "RE: vrR warranty tickets" (sent)
    5. Elisa - "RE: vrR warranty…

This issue will be fixed in the next release 1.2. We have confirmation of our Beta testers that unrelated merges are no longer a problem.

  13. gmail says I'm not signed in, settings say: Authentication: 'signed in with google'

Since this morning (working yesterday) I get frequent notices that my secondary gmail (only 1 of 2) couldn't sign in. I click settings, go into settings, go into incoming and outgoing, and they both say signed in with google. I haven't changed password in the past day, and can login via gmail app just fine.

  15. Problem with Gmail: Cannot sign into account

I keep getting an error message, saying I cannot sign into my Gmail account. After a few attempts to log in the message stops popping up and all e-mails are properly synced. Happens not every tome I start Boxer, but frequently.

All this on a Nexus 5 with Kitkat. Two-step authentification for Gmail.

Only happens with the Gmail account and none of my other mail accounts. I also run Boxer on a Nexus 7 and do not have the same problem there.

  16. I get an internal error of the app on my gmail account

everytime I open boxer with my gmail account or I initiate a manual update of the inbox it reports an internal error and it seems that no push notifications are received. I see new mails only when I open the app and sync the inbox manually.

  17. Automatic Sync (Push) Delays

I have setup GMAIL accounts to Push Sync, and I have observed that there is a lot of delay in the Boxer app v/s the native email app on the Samsung S5. I push happens after few mins of my manual pull to refresh option. Is there is a schedule that Boxer Servers are using as it does not seem be automatic push from Gmail servers.
