With Apple’s recent announcement about allowing support for 3rd party keyboard apps with iOS8, we have decided to wait on this integration and use our resources towards other new features that will not be provided by the iOS update. Thanks for the suggestion, and please keep your feedback coming!
Add own notification sound.85 votes
Unfortunately, after looking into this, custom sounds set by the user is allowed by Apple. We do plan to add in even more sound options in the future, but I’m afraid we’ll need to decline this one for now until Apple changes their policies and allows us to include this.
When receiving a notification that there is a new email, I'd like the name of the email account to be the Header rather than "Boxer"
When Boxer shows a notification alert in the iPhone notification system, it is labeled as a message from the "Boxer" account rather than one of the names the user assigns to his/her email accounts (like "Work" or "Yahoo"). Therefore one can't tell for example if it is a work email from the notification.85 votes
Unfortunately, this is not a possibility with the current version of iOS. Apple requires this to reflect the name of the application that generated the notification.
We have added in a “back to Boxer” button so that when a link opens up in Chrome, you can easily move back to Boxer.
After much discussion, we have decided to not build a built-in browser for now. We may revisit this again later on.
My Exchange Account requires a passcode so Boxer will automatically ask for one when opened. I already have my phone set to use a unlock code to unlock it. Why do I have to use a passcode again? The iPhone mail app recognizes the fact that a unlock code is set on the phone and does not require another passcode to open Exchange mail accounts.40 votes
Unfortunately, there is no way for Boxer to bypass the request from the Exchange server to force a passcode when opening the app. Boxer is a third-party application (the default email app is not considered to be so), and it would violate our terms with Microsoft to force a bypass of the pin code. We’d love to be able to make this an option, but I’m afraid it just isn’t possible. :(
Choose wether or not to receive a notification if a mail has been filtered by sanebox (ie : I don't want to be notified if I receive a spam email that goes directly into the sanebox folder)30 votes
Boxer having an auto-filter feature like Gmail tabs will add lots of value so that email is filtered by category / business / priority need.17 votes
Unfortunately, Gmail tabs support is not possible because Google does not expose that information to 3rd party clients. We would love to add support for this, but it’s just not possible at the moment.
If you didn't had the time to click on the banner a shake to undo would be appreciated.15 votes
This has not received quite enough support to move it into our development queue, so we will be deferring on it for now.
customize options....colour change and font size and font type14 votes
Thanks for the suggestion, but we will need to decline it for now. This would take a great deal of time to implement, and the volume of requests for it is not quite enough to warrant the time and resources. We may be able to look into it again int the future.
It would be cool, if the default iOS left (corner) to right gesture open the menu.
It is much easier and user friendly than touch the menu button every time (on the upper-left corner) when I want to open and close it.13 votes
If you mark a favorite in IOS address book, It should become favorite in boxer and VV.13 votes
When I use my work email within the company I don't want to include the signature because it just clutters up the thread. But when sending emails outside the company I do want the signature there. Right now the only way to do that is to always have the signature on and then manually delete it when I don't want it. A button to toggle it on/off would be much more convenient!9 votes
We have gathered feedback and put some thought into this, but the requests for this have not been high enough for us to implement this in the immediate future. Deleting the signature, or using the quick response action (like our friendly user commented below) are both workarounds for this in the meantime. Thanks for the suggestion! We may be able to revisit this in the future.
Ability to create sub-tasks (check list) under the To-Dos.
: task numOne - pick up docs [X]
: task numTwo - sign docs
: task numThree - deliver via USPS
This would allow a fully integrated check and sub task list, which would be extremely useful to most.
Very well done app!! Kudos!!
Thanks for the suggestion! We don’t have any immediate plans to create subtasks for the ToDos, and the amount of requests we receive for this is not quite enough to apply our limited resources towards it. We may be able to revisit this again in the future!
Thanks for your suggestion! We built in the ability to easily mark a message as read or unread. More information on that can be found here: http://support.getboxer.com/knowledgebase/articles/317940-mark-as-read-or-unread
Unless we receive a large amount of feedback asking otherwise, we have no plans to implement a setting for this feature since we feel the unread/read action is a sufficient workaround. Thanks for your feedback!

I want to see unread badges next to my corporate Outlook folders7 votes
At this time, we do not have a way to do this without slowing down the app. If we do get a lot of demand for this in the future, we will open this request back up. Thanks so much for reaching out!
This is an interesting idea, but we don’t plan on doing this anytime soon. We are only able to display a single badge count, and having a combination of ToDo and unread messages could lead to confusion. We may be able to revisit in the future. Thanks for your suggestion!
The thing that initially drew me to Taskbox (now Boxer), were the quick responses combined with the To Do list. In the beginning adding something to To Do list would guide me through a process for quick response, due date, and quick replies. Now I have to swipe and send a quick response first, and then swipe to set a priority, or due date, then swipe to finally add it to my To Do list. Boxer should ad the ability where, for those of us that want it can swipe an email one time, but configure Boxer to move through a series of items. For instance 1 swipe could first bring up the quick response, then asking me for a due date, and then move it to the To Do folder, all with just 1 swipe.
